And it shall come to pass afterward that I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions. And also on My menservants and on My maidservants I will pour out My Spirit in those days…And it shall come to pass that whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved. For in Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there shall be deliverance, as the Lord has said, among the remnant whom the Lord calls.
- Joel 2:28-29;32, NKJV
Are you going through this thing called life intentionally or by accident…on full or empty. Truth is many people wake up each day with some sort of plan, what comes of it is an entirely different story; resulting in our hearts, minds, bodies, and souls operating in varying states. The reality of your walk in Christ or in the world is that you are going to be depleted by its events (regardless of what “it” is); however, the fundamental difference between the two is Who (not what) is filling you up. Know that only God is able to maintain and sustain you through the good, the bad, and the ugly…but are you allowing Him (not the world) to fill you…if so is it on a consistent basis? So many Christians desire the things of God, but want absolutely nothing to do with God…seemingly looking for the mere convenience of “things” vice the creator of said “things.” What they miss, and you ought not to, is a life poured out from the heavenly realms that equips, empowers, and encourages you regardless of whether you’re pulling in on empty, operating on full, or somewhere in between. Understand that you’re going to need to be filled for the journey is too long, too hard for you to endure on your own…so why not be filled from your God!
- Then as he lay and slept under a broom tree, suddenly an angel touched him, and said to him, “Arise and eat.” Then he looked, and there by his head was a cake baked on coals, and a jar of water. So he ate and drank, and lay down again. And the angel of the Lord came back the second time, and touched him, and said, “Arise and eat, because the journey is too great for you. So he arose, and ate and drank; and he went in the strength of that food forty days and forty nights as far as Horeb, the mountain of God (1 Kings 19:5-8, NKJV)!
