Elevation

Now it came to pass after these things that God tested Abraham, and said to him, “Abraham!” And he said, “Here I am.” Then He said, “Take now your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you.” So Abraham rose early in the morning and saddled his donkey, and took two of his young men with him, and Isaac his son; and he split the wood for the burnt offering, and arose and went to the place of which God had told him. Then on the third day Abraham lifted his eyes and saw the place afar off. And Abraham said to his young men, “Stay here with the donkey; the [a]lad and I will go yonder and worship, and we will come back to you.” So Abraham took the wood of the burnt offering and laid it on Isaac his son; and he took the fire in his hand, and a knife, and the two of them went together. 7 But Isaac spoke to Abraham his father and said, “My father!” And he said, “Here I am, my son.” Then he said, “Look, the fire and the wood, but where is the [b]lamb for a burnt offering?” And Abraham said, “My son, God will provide for Himself the lamb for a burnt offering.” So the two of them went together. Then they came to the place of which God had told him. And Abraham built an altar there and placed the wood in order; and he bound Isaac his son and laid him on the altar, upon the wood. 10 And Abraham stretched out his hand and took the knife to slay his son.

You cannot be elevated if you are unwilling to go to new heights. God is asking "you" to sacrifice "self" and the comfort of "here" that He may reward your obedience. So how good is "here" that you're so unwilling to let go and move to there under His unction, in the direction of His blessings? Far too often the very thing you seek, the very thing you've been praying for resides with Him, yet you're only willing to do things "your" way, not His. Let God be Lord over "all" of your life...heart, mind, body, soul, and circumstances/situations. Build upon the relationship He established in the midst of your weakness and the very trials/tribulations He delivered "you" from...and meet His plan (not yours) with gratitude...knowing and believing that His way is "always" right, no matter how sideways it may seem to be leaving you. Today let God elevate you from elementary thinking/principles by trusting in His plans for you [For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. 14 I will be found by you,” declares the Lord, “and will bring you back from captivity.[b] I will gather you from all the nations and places where I have banished you,” declares the Lord, “and will bring you back to the place from which I carried you into exile” (Jeremiah 29:11-14, NIV)]...then watch how His instructions order your steps to where He needs "you" to be in order to elevate His people.
